Toddlers are well known for having a tantrum no matter where they are at. It is best to encourage your child to listen very well and cooperate with you. Just by following these few simple steps you will have a much happier toddler and a much happier you.

Always show your toddler how much you love them, toddlers love the attention lot, lots of hugs and kisses and playtime reassure them how much they are loved. When you would like your toddler to do something always use your please and thank you's just like you would like them to learn. It is a good idea to form things like clean up into a game it makes it fun for your toddler and keeps them wanting to do it.

Do not get all upset if your toddler tells you no when you ask them to do something, just ask them again and they will know that it needs to be done. Always pick your battles if they are doing something that is minor and not hurting them or anybody just let them continue. It is a great idea to give your toddler choices, for instance you could pick out two shirts and ask them which one they would like to wear. Toddler's love to feel independent and to make decisions.

Last parenting tip for toddlers is to try to stick to a schedule, when you know it is your toddlers nap time and you need to go to the grocery store it would be a good idea to get the nap in first. Toddler's can get very cranky and you do not want to go to the store with a cranky toddler that will probably have a tantrum in the middle of your shopping. A good idea if you have to go out is to get a sitter to come over and watch your toddler. Toddler's get accustomed to schedules and when that get's interrupted it will throw off their whole day. The toddler age can be a frustrating age but it is also a very fun stage just to watch their independence come out is very rewarding.
